The first two-sided marketplace for investing in real estate debt

We’re taking on one of the world’s biggest industries with an even bigger idea: to make real estate financing work better for everyone.

We designed our technology-based system to improve the experience for all participants

From investors, lenders, and, yes, to end borrowers. In our marketplace, hundreds of loan originators and thousands of investors easily transact, while only ever having to work with one party: PeerStreet.

Nationwide Network of Private Lenders

We source loans from a nationwide network of private lenders and brokers...

Individual and Institutional Investors

...then aggregate, service, and manage those loans for individual and institutional investors

As a society, we can either continue to build more new homes and take over green spaces, or we can up-cycle and renew aging and dilapidated homes.

Our ultimate goal: Building wealth and rebuilding the American neighborhood

We support private lenders who make loans to real estate entrepreneurs, who then rejuvenate aging homes. Not only does this create local jobs, but it also improves neighborhoods and local communities by reversing the decay of aging housing across the United States and creating desirable opportunities for new families, renters, investors, and lenders.

A better system for everyone

Our marketplace is designed to align the interests of all participants.

Our leadership team

It was the 2008 financial crisis, and all the warning signs leading up to it, that first inspired co-founders Brew Johnson and Brett Crosby to reimagine a stronger, more transparent system—one designed to improve the lives of all participants.

The Latest From PeerStreet

PeerStreet’s plans to foster a hybrid workforce

Our CEO, Brew Johnson, was recently quoted in a post written by Andreessen Horowitz about the future of work; in the office and remotely. The crux of the article talks about how COVID changed the way we all work and how we have approached hiring during the pandemic. We all discovered that distributed teams working remotely can be effective. Some people prefer it, while others can’t wait to return to the office. Some companies are going fully remote, others going back to the office, but most are embracing a new hybrid model in at least some capacity.

PeerStreet Hackathon!

We recently hosted an internal event called “HackStreet”, our second company-wide hackathon designed to spawn innovation from all corners of the company. To inspire employees, none other than Chris Diamantopoulos, who plays Russ Hanneman on HBO’s Silicon Valley, made an appearance to encourage participants (watch the video).

PeerStreet Named one of the 2021 Best Places to Work in Financial Technology

We’re thrilled to announce that PeerStreet has been named one of the “2021 Best Places to Work in Financial Technology”. This award is voted on by our own team members who fill out a survey sent directly to them by “Best Companies Group”. The survey is anonymous and tallied by a third party, so the results remain as unbiased as possible. The questions range from vision to execution, leadership and culture.
